Houston Blues Society Holiday Ball

12062006_blues.jpgHoustonist has the blues - not the Kraft Macaroni and Cheese Blues (silly 2001 ad campaign)- the real blues. The heart and soul, toe-tapping, groove-thang wiggling, get down with your Houstonist badself blues. We liked this photo so much, we are recycling it to call your attention to a Holiday Ball. The Houston Blues Society Ball, benefitting BITS (Blues In The Schools) will be held this Friday, December 8th at Mr. Gino's. Admission is $10 per person and this years shindig celebrates the "Blues Broad" of KPFT, Kathleen Kern's birthday. Texas Johnny Brown & the Quality Blues Band will be playing, among other artists. There will be additional fundraising in the way of a silent auction, raffle and door prizes.

So, this is one big double bonus, you can listen to some fantastic music for a reasonable entry fee, make some charitable donations (refer specifics to your CPA or TurboTax - we are certainly no expert in this arena) and give what you purchased to loved ones as presents. Hell yes!!! Take the write-off and give it as a gift!! This is almost as good as the regifting we told you shared with you a week or so ago!
