Houston Gets Haute for the Holidays

Fashion.jpgOk, so Houston isn't the first city that comes to mind when one thinks of a fashion hot bed. But we are making strides in this department, thanks in part to hometown hero and Lot 8 owner Chloe Dao's win on Bravo's Project Runway last year.

New Houston Boutiques such as Flounce (1624 Westheimer ), Wink (2429 Bissonnet), and Redstitch have got international designers taking a harder look at the Bayou City. With appearances in 2006 from fancy French foot architect Christian Louboutin and Mick's daughter-turned-designer to the stars Jade Jagger, Houston's fashionitas now have reason to demand that new denim Louie for Christmas.

Shopping for a fashionista this season? Check out Runway Fashion Boutique & Todd's Place Clothing's Holiday Fashion Show at Touch Lounge, Monday December 18 @ 9 PM. The event will benefit the Houston AIDS Foundation's Camp Hope. Other activies include a live painting by Micah the Artist, food & drinks.
