Happy holidays from Houstonist!

Well, it's that time of year again — having finally reached the end of December, we get to leave Houstonist headquarters early and start enjoying a long weekend! Oh, wait, it's 5 p.m. already? Dang. We hope all of you got to take off early, at least.

Here's the game plan for the next few days: We'll have a light posting schedule over the next week or so, but we'll hit the ground running again on Jan. 2 to help you cope with those post-New Year's hangovers (or to make them a little worse, depending on how things go). In the meantime, we have some gifts to wrap, some bags to pack and some eggnog to swill. Ah, the joys of winter.

So, to all our readers: Happy holidays! And if you happen to unwrap an extra 63-inch plasma TV, we'll be happy to take it off your hands.
