Heights First Saturday

010507_heights.jpgThe first Saturday of each month Heights residents--and just plain old lovers of the historic 'hood--descend upon a 10 block area between I-10 and 610, bordered by N. Main and Shepherd, for art, shopping, music, and fun. Convenient shuttles run from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and stop at most of the major attractions.

Some of this weekend's activities include:

Koelsch Gallery M.A.L.E. Series by Jason Willaford, new works by Kana Harada. 703 Yale St.

HITS Theater OPEN HOUSE, Class registration and auditions for kids, teens, and adults for Miller production of Cinderella 311 W. 18th St.

Hight Cigar Company Cigar rolling at its freshest and finest. 635 W. 19th St., Suite 201 upstairs

Yale Street Arts Market Featured artist Phyllis Hall, Original oil on canvas landscapes, fantasy and abstract paintings. 548 W. 19th

Hickory Hollow Pat Gavin cowboy swing music 6:30, artist Ron Collins. 101 Heights Blvd.
