Remember Friday, when we had mild temperatures and not a cloud in the sky? Well, there's more where that came from this week, followed by what could be some crappy, rainy, warmish weather toward the weekend. We had forgotten just how schizophrenic January in Houston can be.
Today and Tuesday
Expect more of that beautiful, mild weather to kick off the week: a high of 61 today, a high of 63 on Tuesday and lots of sun both days. And it'll be cold both nights, too — we mean legitimately cold, not just Houston cold. The forecast calls for 37 degrees tonight and 35 tomorrow night. Brr!
Wednesday and Thursday
Midweek, things may take a turn for the worse. Temperatures will start to climb toward 70 during the day, and clouds will move in on Wednesday with rain following Thursday. The good news, though, is that we won't freeze to death overnight: Lows will be in the lower to mid 50s. Not too bad.
Weekend
Based on projections now, it looks like the weekend won't be all that great. Expect rain and temperatures in the low 70s on Friday, rain and temps in the upper 70s on Sunday and rain and mid-60s on Sunday. And though we know things can change a lot in a week, we have to point out something enticing in the long-range forecast for next Monday: a high of 48, a low of 36 and snow showers. Anyone want to place bets on that?
