Following up on the report of a stripper/hooker/criminal who police say may be the ringleader of a home burglary group, cops last night raided Treasures, the Galleria-area strip club where the woman worked. HPD had reportedly had Treasures under surveillance for months, and during that time officers say they saw — hold onto your hats, now — dancers performing sex acts on patrons. In a strip club. We're shocked and appalled.

Eleven dancers and a manager were arrested in last night's sting, according to the Chronicle. "We made a prostitution case, a number of sexually oriented business violations," HPD vice Capt. Steve Jett told KTRK. "Most of the girls in there — a third of the girls in there — do not have sexually oriented business licenses. There are about 125 girls in there and 42 did not have license at all."

The suspect in the burglary case, who called herself Lynette, was not among those picked up last night. To refresh your memory about her: A while back, she was performing a lap dance for one of the club's patrons and offered him oral sex for money. Instead, he paid her $700 to come back to his house and spend the night with him; in the morning, she asked him to take her to breakfast, and while they were gone, robbers stole a 42-inch plasma TV and two laptop computers from the guy's house. Police believe Lynette was connected with the burglary and might have left a window open in the man's house so the thieves could get in easily. Police are still on the lookout for her.
