In conjunciton with the Houston Grand Opera's (HGO)<----we love our acronyms in Houston, winter presentation of Gounod´s famous opera Faust, the Museum of Fine Arts features a lecture tonight in Brown Auditorium discussing films that share the same theme as the German-based, French-sung, English-subtitled opera: Selling your soul to the Devil. (Houstonist wonder's if Weingarten Realty Investors will serve as sponsors for the performance)

Many film writers are inspired by classical stories. Join us as we take a look at films that share the theme of HGO´s winter presentation of Gounod´s Faust. Find out why some dare to sell their souls to the Devil.

Guest speakers include Gary Gibbs, from the Houston Grand Opera, and Dr. Garth Jowett, University of Houston´s communications professor.
