Talk about parents who shouldn't be parents: Houston FBI agents and San Antonio police are working to find a 2-month-old boy whose mother apparently misplaced him while she was on drugs. We only wish we were kidding.
The mother, Veronica Francine Ramirez of San Antonio, reportedly visited Houston on Saturday night. When she got back home early Sunday morning, she didn't have her infant son, Isiah, and couldn't remember what she had done with him — because she was high, and you know, kids are so easy to lose track of. But here's the kicker: Ramirez told police she thinks she might have given Isiah to two women in a truck stop restroom somewhere between San Antonio and Houston. She said she stopped at several rest areas and remembered a stop in Columbus, but she didn't know whether she had Isiah with her then or not.
Ramirez said she believes Isiah may be sick: He has an underdeveloped esophagus and needs special formula. He's described as 22 inches long, 12 pounds, with brown hair and gray eyes. Isiah was last seen wearing a light blue Winnie the Pooh sleeper, a bib that says "I Love My Daddy" and a white beanie. According to reports, his car seat and a black diaper bag are also missing. There's an Amber alert out for Isiah; anyone with information on his whereabouts should call the Houston FBI at 713.693.5000.
Update: Baby Isiah has been turned into the police in Buena Park, Calif. FBI officials say the baby is safe and unharmed.
