Sharpie us in on March 2nd

20070119_libre.jpgFree is the word of the day, people. Free as in "having no obligations (as to work) or commitments." For example, "Susie Spanktastic's schedule was free after she clocked out at the 24 hour modeling studio so she thought she'd have a drink with Houstonist."

We will be celebrating Texas Independence Day in style and want you to join us. Bust out the Sharpie right now and scrawl Houstonist on Friday, March 2nd in your hipster PDA.

We will trickle out more information as the date gets closer. But, if you're itching for info, use your noggin for more than drooling on your keyboard. No luck? Here's a hint: we like sharing beverages with our readers.

hate to break it to the inventor of the hipster pda, but i invented one in college. i called mine "study notes". mine came with highlighters.

speaking of sharpies, should we bring one to this event in hopes of getting autographs of our favorite Houstonist contributors?
