Houston Contestant Competes in Telemundo Reality Series

Just when it seems every Reality TV concept has been done (12 times)...Concierto Clandestino is a new reality series produced by Zeal Television USA and Animus Group for leading US-Hispanic networks Telemundo and Mun2. The series follows 4 chosen individuals over 26 weeks, on a journey to create the concert of their lives. Each ‘Promoter’ is given a venue in a specified city and a famous Hispanic Artist or major band to collaborate with, and has just 14 days to pull together all that is necessary to attract an audience.

Houstonian Maria Duran remains as one of only 4 contestants left in the contest. Duran only found out of the venue (Warehouse Live) yesterday, and as part of the contest, spent the next 48 hours trying to pack the place with bodies. Performers include hometown hip hop artist Preemo, Mexican group Camila and Texan singer Jennifer Pena.

As much as we hate to admit it, this reality concept does sounds intriging, much more so than Dancing with the Washed up Celebrities, er, Stars. Houstonist encourages your support of this Hometown girl in her quest to out promote contestants from Miami, New York, and L.A.
