In Astros news...

  • Astros management has signed one-year deals with the capricious Jason Lane for $1.05 million and infielder-extraordinaire Adam Everett for $2.8 million, leaving Morgan Ensberg the only remaining unsigned arbitration-eligible player. We like chanting "Let's go Mo!" when we attend games, so let's hope this one gets taken care of soon.
  • OK, we've signed Jason Lane, but where will he play? It sounds like Luke Scott might run away with right field, potentially leaving Jason Lane out in the cold. Or on the bench.
  • Tickets for Astros spring training games will go on sale this Saturday. Check out the schedule, and enjoy the weather in Florida.
  • We really enjoyed reading about the lavish barbecue Astros owner Drayton McLane held for some of the players. No bulldozers this year, but we think it's cute to imagine that the Astros always hang out with each other during the offseason.
