Girls Gone Litigious: Judge Deals Strip Clubs A Swift Blow

MaillolU.S. District Judge Nancy Atlas, a stone cold hottie herself, upheld a local ordinance from 1997 that requires that sexually oriented businesses must be located at least 1,500 feet from churches, schools or daycare facilities, according to the Chron.

KHOU is reporting that under these guidelines as many as 100 sexual oriented businesses are in violation of this statute and may have to be relocated. The businesses, which appealed this case under the first amendment expression provisions, have yet respond, though it is clear this decision could seriously affect titty lovers within the city limits.

Other portions of this ordinance require that adult video stores must maintain certain lighting and signage conditions, performers may not have physical contact with customers, no private rooms are allowed and managers and performers must be licensed.

Local police and community officials are considering this ruling a big success, as everyone knows that private dances from unlicensed professionals are not only dangerous but also less fun. Have you ever seen an unlicensed stripper try and parallel park?
