Justice For All? exhibit opens in Houston

020807_justice.jpgAn exhibit which features art that reflects on the death penalty will open at M2 tomorrow evening and be on display until February 18. The Austin Chronicle called the show "nothing short of powerful." The pieces in the exhibit are in all sorts of media and were created by artists from all over the world (including Houston).

Saturday evening there will be an opening reception at the gallery, beginning at 7 pm. There will also be a talk given by Mary Mikel Stump, Gallery Director of the JCM Gallery at Texas State on February 16 at 7. She will be discussing protest/dissent and some of the works that will be on display.

The gallery will be using a method called "Guide By Cell," which allows visitors to call a number on their cell phones and listen to audio recordings of the artists speaking about their works. The service is free, but we recommend going after 7 or on weekends. Kidding, but we really do recommend that everyone get out and see this powerful show in the short time that it's here.

What: Justice For All?
When: Saturday - February 18
Where: M2 Gallery
