Rape suspect reportedly posted victim's pic on MySpace

More today on Keith Chester Hill, the 19-year-old man Baytown police arrested Tuesday in connection with a series of rapes last year: Prosecutors detailed the charges against Hill yesterday, describing a May attack they said he was involved in.

020907_hill.jpgHere's how they say it went down: On May 18, Hill reportedly hid in the bushes outside a man's home. When the man arrived at his house, prosecutors say Hill, wearing a black mask, jumped out, tied the man up and taped his mouth shut, then drove him to an ATM and forced him to make a withdrawal. Afterward, he allegedly forced the man to perform a sex act on him, then left him in a field. But here's the kicker: Officials say Hill then posted nude pictures of the victim on his MySpace page. Ah, we're so glad to hear that there's yet another use for MySpace.

Baytown cops said Hill has been a suspect since before Christmas, but they didn't have definitive evidence until he submitted to a DNA test, which matched evidence collected from the May attack. "There's only one in a quadrillion chance that this DNA from the attack could come from someone else," Baytown Police Capt. Roger Clifford said.

The Baytown serial rapist struck at least five times, and police say they believe the evidence they've collected will lead to more charges for Hill. "We're optimistic that additional charges will be filed on our four remaining cases," Clifford told KHOU. "We've got lots of evidence that we'll have to sift through — good, solid evidence."
