Houstonist Bartender: 57 Chevy

02092007_fifty-sevenchevy.jpgHoustonist Bartender feels morally obligated, after a week like Houston has had, to bring you a drink - a good stiff one. Yes, this has Southern Comfort in it, and yes, we know - you haven't had a SoCo drink since second grade - but, this is some good stuff. It has V-O-D-K-A and pineapple and is named for a sweet classic car. Tasty, lethal (don't drink too many - unless you are at the house!!) and really begs for a paper umbrella! Whip up a few of these, turn on the news and see what Houstonian has done something crazy or tied up all of the news today.

57 Chevy

1/2 oz Vodka (be a homer, use Tito's)

1 1/2 oz Southern Comfort

1/2 oz Grand Marnier

Pineapple Juice

Fill an old-fashioned glass (no, not from Gramma, this) with ice, add the alcohol and fill with pineapple juice. Bottoms Up.

A few of these bad boys and you can solve all of the mysteries and problems of the world - like "Who is her baby daddy?" We hope you have a great weekend!

And we welcome your comments (even those from the SoCo haters).
