New Chron blog keeps an eye on City Hall

What do you get when you cross Chron.com with Houston city government? A delicious new blog. Finally, the Chronicle has tapped the market of people who want to know everything that goes on at City Hall - we're talking seven posts a day worth. In all seriousness, we're excited about the new blog, especially its "On the Agenda" feature.

Matt Stiles is the official City Hall blogger, but we already have four posts today from Kristen Mack and Alexis Grant. The City Hall bloggers seem fixated on wi-fi, and we can si-wi. This week the Mayor will announce the chosen vendor for his city-wide wireless program. Much to our delight, Kristen also offered us a gossipy tidbit about Councilwoman Carol Alvarado's car being hit by a Metro bus. She managed to escape relatively unscathed, with only a sore neck and back. Feel better, Carol.

In his first post, Matt asked the public what we'd like to read about in the blog. One reader asked for audio and video. Houstonist has three words: Bill White gossip.
