
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo to feature Food & Wine Extravaganza at Astrodome
As Rodeo season approaches, and Houstonist pulls out our stiffest Stetsons, rugged Justin boots and tightest Wranglers, we look forward to an event that doesn't require carefully avoiding cow patties. And we're not talking burgers.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo international wine and food tasting extravaganza, Rodeo Uncorked! Roundup and Best Bites Competition, is back for 2007 and is set to take place on the floor the Astrodome Monday, Feb. 26th 7 to 9:30 p.m.
Bringing together the best of the best from Houston Restaurants and international winesUncorked!, attendees will cast their votes for “Best Bites” as part of the culinary competition. In addition to an evening of outstanding food and wine, winners of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo International Wine Competition will be announced. There were 1,580 entries from 443 wineries and included wines from Texas, U.S. and international vineyards, all vying for Grand Champion Best of Show.
Participating restaurants include recent Houstonist mentions The Oceanaire Seafood Room, Max's Wine Dive, Berryhill Baja Grill, Morton's Steakhouse, and many, many more. View the entire list here.
Tickets are $90 per person in advance and $100 at the door, with limited reserved tables of 10 seats offered for $1,500. sold out.
