The Target Collection of American Photography at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, collection contains a number of significant photographs by seminal photographers including Alfred Stieglitz, James Van Der Zee, Paul Strand, Edward Weston, Imogen Cunningham, Dorothea Lange, Robert Frank, Ray Metzker, Kenneth Josephson, Joel Sternfeld, William Eggleston, and Catherine Wagner, whose works are now considered the basis of the tradition of American photography.
