Vote for Bill White -- again

030907_billwhite.jpgWe told you about last year's World Mayor competition. We know you love Bill White as much as we do, but he still lost out to that upstart John So, Mayor of Melbourne. Fortunately, there's always next year. Or this year. Go here to nominate our favorite mayor and yours, Bill White, for World Mayor 2007. Remember: what you say counts just as much as who you nominate. So what's World Mayor looking for and does Bill White have it? From their website:

The World Mayor Project is again looking for the most outstanding mayors of the year: mayors, who do not only improve the lives of their citizens on a daily basis but who have also a vision for their cities beyond the next election as well as influence national and international debates on the role of cities in the 21st century. Above all, World Mayor is looking for mayors who fight for their citizens selflessly and courageously.

And here are just a few of our favorite Mayor White accomplishments that you might want to mention:

>> City-wide WiFi? He's on it.

>> Decrease in overall crime rates across the city in 2006.

>> The beginning stages of a better preservation plan for the city.

And so much more! Get to nominating.
