Slampo's Place had some choice words for Chronicle columnist Rick Casey, who announced last weekend that he was going on a 5-month sabbatical. Casey says he will spend his time of "resting, reading, and reflecting," which inspired cutting sarcasm in bloggers all over the city. We still don't understand exactly what Casey is doing over these five months, and apparently neither does Slampo's Place. Something to do with lawyers in San Antonio? Well, as for Houstonist, we hope Rick Casey enjoys his break and returns to the Chronicle refreshed, renewed, and reinvigorated.
