BREAKING NEWS: Texans Set To Trade For Falcons QB

David Carr's number may finally be up in Houston. NFL sources have comfirmed that the Houston Texans have agreed in principal to trade for the Atlanta Falcon's highly touted backup QB, Matt Schaub. Schuab, 25 out of the University of Virginia, has seen limited playing time over the course of his career taking a backseat to Michael Vick, the Falcon's number one overall pick in 2001. NFL teams in the past of expressed great interest in obtaining the backup, but Falcons have been hard pressed to give him up. Schaub, a restricted free agent this year, was tendered a $2.3 million offer from the Falcons. If another team wanted to sign Schaub to an offer sheet, that team would have to give up a first and third round pick. But with this trade, sources say the Texans have swapped their first round draft positioning with the Falcons and have also sent their second round pick this year and next year. The Falcons will now draft eighth overall and the Texans will have the number ten pick in the first round. People close to the situation say the final details should be out by later this evening. For his career, Schaub has completed 84 passes in 161 attempts for 1,033 yards with 6 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He is winless in his only two NFL career starts, one which was against the Texans in 2004.

Interesting move. Yeah, yeah I know that Carr hasn't been stellar, but c'mon. O LINE NEEDS HELP.

I not the only one who thinks this was the wrong move.
