Ticket Giveaway: Bayou City Art Festival

032107_bcafmem.JPGThe Bayou City Art Festival is happening this weekend (Friday-Sunday) at Memorial Park, and Houstonist has two free tickets to give away.

The Bayou City Art Festival has been held by the Art Colony Association since 1996, but traces of it date back to 1971. It is consistently one of the top-rated festivals in the country and it was rated one of AmericanStyle Magazine's top 5 fairs and festivals in 2005. The festival is held bi-annually, in Memorial Park during the spring and downtown in the fall. The ACA also hosts the Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival.

In addition to the outstanding outdoor gallery, the festival also provides wine cafés, an interactive Creative Zone for children, restaurants, Broadway in Houston’s Broadway Café, and a performing arts stage with on-going multicultural musical and dance entertainment presented by The Houston Arts Alliance.

To win the tickets, email us today with your name, contact information, and why you think you should win the tickets. Otherwise, admission is $10 for adults and free for children under 12.

If you don't win the tickets but are still interested in free admission to the festival (and a T-shirt), you can sign up here to volunteer at the festival.

Metro will provide free shuttle rides from several locations to the festival.
