Got teens? Then you probably got drama, too. Put that pouty, self-absorbed, emotional crap to good use: the THEE-ata!

Houston's Theater Under the Stars' Humphreys School of Musical Theatre announces its fourth annual ACT@TUTS (Apprentice Conservatory Training at Theatre Under The Stars). The program will hold open auditions for The Stephen Schwartz Project, a new musical revue featuring songs by the award-winning Broadway composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz (Hit Musical Wicked). ACT @ TUTS is the first conservatory to produce The Stephen Schwartz Project and present it as a Houston premiere.

Open to teens ages 13-18, auditions will be held on Friday, March 23 at 5 p.m. in the TUTS Professional Rehearsal Studios located at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts (800 Bagby at Walker). As ACT @ TUTS' fall production, students will have the exclusive opportunity to work with Schwartz during the rehearsal process.

Auditioners must prepare a 16-bar-belt and ballad; provide own sheet music; and wear dance clothing. For more information on ACT @ TUTS auditions, email hsmt@tuts.com or call (713) 558-2806.
