If you're still upset about Felicia's uncalled-for elimination from America's Next Top Model this week, have no fear. Houstonians are making their mark on reality shows all over the tube. Check it:
Grease: You're the One That I Want: Alvin native Austin Miller might be Houston's best bet since Chloe Dao. Austin is one of two potential Dannys (Dannies?) left on the show. With extensive vocal, dancing, and acting training and experience, he was considered one of the show's "veterans" in a pool of contestants from varying backgrounds and experience levels. He's been dubbed the "Hot Danny" and he's single. Watch out, Broadway. The show airs Sundays at 7pm on NBC.
Dancing with the Stars: Will "The Glide" refer to Clyde Drexler's dancing expertise as well? It remains to be seen. He didn't do too badly on this season's first episode, and we imagine it's difficult to dance gracefully when you're 6'7" and your partner is only 5'4". The Drexler-Grinenko team finished ahead of Billy Ray Cyrus and Leeza Gibbons, but all teams have another chance on Monday at 7pm on ABC. Eliminations come on Tuesday.
American Idol: LaKisha Jones is technically a Houstonian, although she now lives in Michigan. She's good, but the pool of female contestants this season is teeming with talent. Jones has been trained in classical and opera, and she's been singing since she was 5, so she's still a formidable opponent. Watch her perform again on Tuesday at 7pm on FOX.
Amazing Race: All-Stars: Things aren't looking great for Joyce and Uchenna Agu, married couple and previous Amazing Race winners. They came in last in the most recent episode, but fortunately, it was a non-elimination round. That means they need to come in first or they suffer a 30-minute penalty in the next challenge. Good luck, guys. Hold your breath at 7pm Sunday on CBS.
