Ticket Giveaway: Fair to Midland

070326_ftm.jpgYes, Fair to Midland is a rock band. Yes, they have a banjo and violin in some of their songs. No, they do not sound like Dave Matthews Band. They’re more along the lines of Blue October or Mars Volta. Oh, and yes … we’re giving a pair of tickets to see them play at Warehouse Live tonight, where they are playing with Flyleaf, skillet, and Houston’s Paris Green.

Fair to Midland comes from Dallas, and just signed onto their first major indie record contract. You can check out their new EP The Drawn And Quartered here. For a visual sampler of their music, check out their YouTube page.

E-mail us at contest (at) houstonist (dot) com by 4 p.m. Tuesday to win two free tickets to tomorrow's show. Please include your name, e-mail and phone number so we can reach you tomorrow afternoon to let you know that you won. (We'll notify the winner just after 4 p.m.)
