Black Math Experiment Lures David Arquette to the Proletariat
Under the "Random Events" file, Houstonist sniffs out this unique show at the Proletariat tonight. Houston's own Black Math Experiment are bringing to town their self-proclaimed "muse and patron" David Arquette to meet and greet fans, and show clips from his recently written and directed thriller, The Tripper.
The night will include a full set from The Black Math Experiment and Dewy Deputy Dawg himself previewing his newest flick, in which a Ronald Reagan-obsessed serial killer targets a bunch of hippies who are heading to a weekend-long concert.
"It comes out April 20, the international day for pot-smoking. I kind of pushed for that day because it takes place at a [Grateful Dead] kind of concert. It's a small movie, and it was definitely overwhelming," explains the ever-colorful Arquette.
The movie stars Balthazar Getty, Lukas Haas, Thomas Jane, and Paul Reubens.
