Great week of concerts for alternative and independent music lovers. Yo La Tengo, who's latest CD was one of our favorites last year (and our favorite album title), comes to Warehouse LIve on Friday. They have some competition that night, though: TV on the Radio hits Meridian the same night. Ted Leo + the Pharmacists are getting a lot of press with their new CD Living with the Living -- see why Thursday at Numbers. Also, once indie, now hitmaker (due to the success of the song "Boston") Augustana comes to Houston for their first headlining show at Meridian Saturday night.
Many great local acts all over the city this week. If you want to see many of them at once, check out Rice University's radio station KTRU's Outdoor Show on Saturday. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, you can check out Super Happy Fun Land's local music showcase the same afternoon.
