Houstonist Flickr Photo of the Day - the often photographed pennzoil building

the often photographed pennzoil building

Today’s Photo of the Day comes from flickr user and Houstonist photo contributor slipshod snapshots.

As the photographer's title suggests this is the often photographed pennzoil building, actual name, Pennzoil Place. According to HAIF, the building was completed in 1976 while the rest of the U.S. was in a recession and office space was not a hot commodity. But apparently this place was a hot commodity because the architects had to add two more floors to the design in order to meet the demand of those wanting space in this building.
