This must have sucked: Near Kingwood last night, a sleepy driver slammed into a mobile home, knocking the structure off its support blocks. We knew you were asking for trouble if you lived in a mobile home in a tornado-prone area, but who would ever have thought about the danger of a mobile home — a parked one, anyway — being hit by a car? And who'd have thought a car could knock a mobile home three feet off its foundation? We guess we should be a little more careful here at the Houstonist double-wide.
A bizarre thing about this incident: Susannah Salls, who lives in the home, said she had a dream that she was about to be hit by a truck just as the car crashed into the house. "I had a dream about it," Salls told KTRK. "I saw a truck coming towards me with its lights on. My eyes opened and that's just when I felt the whole house shift. And it was just like this big boom." Weird.
The driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel, causing the accident. Fortunately, no one was injured.
