29th annual bargain book sale begins tomorrow

041907_library.jpgThe Friends of the Houston Public Library invite you to peruse the more than 80,000 books of all genres that will be on sale at bargain prices this weekend at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The sale, held annually, benefits the Houston Public Library - and you, of course. Who doesn't love cheap books?

Friday is preview day for members of the Friends, but you can join at the door for $20. On Sunday, patrons can fill a bag of books and take it home for only $10. Most of the books are priced under $2, with only some special and collector's editions selling for more. Visit the FAQ to have any of your questions about the sale answered.

If you're interested in volunteering at the book sale, there's a job for everyone. Fill out the volunteer form to choose your job and your shift and get it back to the Friends as soon as you can if you're interested.
