Our bloggers were fairly single-minded this week. We saw a lot of posts on the same couple of topics, but each one had its own distinctive style. Let's take a look at what's hot in the Houston blogosphere this week:
Playoffs, anyone? The Rockets are getting ready, and the bloggers are fired up. Globetrotter is getting ready with their "I <3 Head" T-shirts. Urban Houstonian took a more classic approach, with an analysis of each team's chances, spiced up with a little bit of Rockets optimism. You might be surprised to learn about the effect Craig Biggio's game-playing has on the NBA playoffs. Plunk Biggio has the word on that, if you're superstitious.
If there's one thing bloggers love, it's rich Houstonians. Probably because they're usually so easy to make fun of. Houston's Clear Thinkers discusses Lakewood Pastor Joel Osteen's personal wealth. The Brazosport News mentions a mended feud between Bob McNair and Mattress Mack. And if you're interested in presidential politics, Greg's Opinion lets you know where all the powerful Houstonians are putting their money.
And finally, the bloggers showed their love for Houstonist by advertising our photo show. Metroblogging Houston sounds almost as excited about it as we are, and Houston Photobloggers loves the show and the site. Off the Kuff and Longstation are both getting ready to enter. Big Pink Cookie was even impressed with the title. Thanks, dudes.
