Latin Wave Film Festival and Kick-Off Party

Join the Museum of Fine Arts Houston tonight as they host the Kick-Off Party for the Latin Wave Film Festival. The "Latin Wave" festival is a window to the newest and most original new films from Latin America. The high quality and the creativity of the films have made them one of the jewels of modern world film production.

This second and larger edition presents nine films from six different Latin American countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Venezuela), which reflect the rich social and cultural realities of this part of the world through a variety of views and artistic media, including documentaries and fiction.

During the festival, there will be two days of meetings with filmmakers, and first class intellectuals and film critics, which will provide an opportunity for reflection and exchange of ideas, as well as discussions about the present and future of Latin American cinema.
