If you’re anything like Houstonist, you loosely associate the words ‘Dalai Lama’ with eternal light, ancient sanctity, and yak butter. Suffice to say, there is more to the His Holiness than this, but take some time tomorrow to find out for yourself at a set of special lectures by the 14th son of the Lama.
The events themselves, presented by Rice University and The Boniuk Center for Religious Tolerance, are sold out, but each lecture will be broadcast on the radio and online. There is even still time to submit a question for His Holiness, though inquiries about animal byproducts may not actually be addressed.
