Friday Afternoon Videos: Drown

Jay Farrar and Son Volt are playing what will most likely be a sold out show at the Continental Club this Sunday night. They're touring on the heels of their latest release The Search, one of their most critically acclaimed releases in years.

Son Volt was created in 1994 by vocalist Farrar, soon after the breakup of the influential altt.country band Uncle Tupelo. While Son Volt's first album spawned this minor hit "Drown," they never reached the same pinnacle as fellow Uncle Tupelo Jeff Tweedy's band Wilco. However, while Wilco moved to a more experimental sound, Son Volt stuck mostly with its alt.country roots.
