I read the following on the 600 sq mi website: "Who can enter the show? Any photographer, amateur or professional. Jurors will consider all photos submitted anonymously, so all photos will be judged equally, without any consideration of the photographer's background. We're hoping to see work from both established and new talent, so don't be shy about submitting your photos." Here's what bothers me: I'm a self-taught amateur. I take some cool pictures now and then, but I'm definitely an amateur. If the jurors don't know our backgrounds, aren't most of the pictures chosen naturally going to be from the people who do this sort of thing for a living? I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm just honestly curious. It seems to me like it's not really a level playing field... </p>
