Last week, we read about the guy who broke into a house and climbed into bed with a 4-year-old girl in the middle of the night in north Houston. "Wow, that's weird," we thought to ourselves. "We bet that'll never happen again." Turns out we were wrong, though: Last night, also on the north side, a man entered a home through an open window and got into bed with a 10-year-old girl. The girl woke up and yelled, and the man — who was wearing only boxer shorts — ran away.
The incident happened sometime between 2 and 3 a.m. at a home near Roxella and McGallion, just a couple of miles from last week's; police suspect the two cases could be linked and that the man involved might live in the neighborhood. The grandmother of last week's victim said the man who entered her house had tried it before: "My husband ... told him he was going to kill him this time, because this incident happened once before, approximately April 1. We believe it's the same man again," Gracie Chavez told KTRK at the time. "I believe he lives in the area."
The family involved in this morning's incident "is coping as well is to be expected," an HPD officer told reporters. "They're still in shock as to waking up to a stranger in their residence."

"through an open window". ummm hello...you know...there's this nifty little gadget on windows called locks. It has only one flaw...you must engage the lock for it to work. If someone broke into a house not far from you, wouldn't you make sure all your doors and windows were locked?
