Festival Fun Time!

Memorial Day Weekend means fun, so of course there is some festival action to be had. Houston Reggaefest 2007 will be going down Sunday and Monday and features a few big name performers.

This year's Reggaefest is, "A Tribute to Bob Marley," which generally seems to be code for hackysackers to come out in full force. So expect that, along with a fair amount of swaying and grooving. Each day has a different theme and lineup of performers. Sunday is "International Vybz" day, and the lineup includes Christina Milian and Yellowman. Monday is "World Beat" day, which apparently means Shaggy is performing.

Reggaefest happens at Tom Bass Park, which is down south, close to where 288 hits Beltway 8 South. The price tag may be a bit steep, but Houstonist figures you could get your money worth if you spend the whole day there. Just remember to wear sunscreen while you're baking!
