Next Sunday, June 24th, a photomarathon is set to take place in Hermann Park. Basically, after running 26.2 miles Participants will take 16 photographs in 4 hours based on themes only revealed at the start of the event. Each photo is then judged based on photo composition and creativity. This event is open to anyone interested in photography (as long as you bring your own camera and memory card) and costs $25 to register.
The event check-in starts at 3pm at the entrance to Hermann Park - this is when the 4 photograph themes will be released. You then have until 7pm to submit (via your memory card) the 4 photographs of each theme to the Event Director at Epicure Cafe.
We think this sounds like a fantastic event (weather permitting) that allows participants to explore Houston in different ways. So dust off those DSLRs or Point & shoots and get out there.
