Festival Fun Time! [Wine Your Dine edition]

Yep, it's already time to start wining again. Fortunately, someone thought ahead and planned a whole week of winofun!!! Except... it's in The Woodlands. But, it's kind of every Houstonian's responsibility to make sure we keep an eye on our corporate northwesternly neighbor. Bummer for drive time, yes. But just think of the wine and food that await you at The Woodlands' Wine and Food Week 2007!61807_woodlands.jpg

Wine and Food Week 2007 starts today, June 18th, and keeps on keepin on until the 24th. The Week features a long lineup of wine-induced events such as wine dinners and luncheons, BBQs and cooking classes, and some drinky waterway tours of the Woodlands area. Also, be sure to check out the list of special guests that will be on hand to help you toast: they include chefs, winemakers, and winos of all sorts. Of course, here at Houstonist, we appreciate any linkage of cheap and alcohol, so we are especially looking forward to the Value Wines Happy Hour on June 22.

Decide for yourself what events strike your fancy by checking out the lineup on the Wine and Food Week website. You can buy tickets for a few events, including the Value Wine Happy Hour, at H-E-B grocery stores. For all other events, you can purchase tickets through the website. There's a wide price range given the range of events, so find out more before you get scared away.
