<description>&lt;p&gt;Unfortunately, Weingarten is the only one that can do anything to keep the buildings standing — and the company has shown absolutely no interest in that.

Houstonians can tell City Council that they support protection for historic structures in the city. It might not be enough to save the River Oaks and Alabama, but it could help in the future.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
