Good morning, Houston. We know you've heard already, but there's no bigger story out of Houston today than Craig Biggio's 3000th hit. It's times like these that remind you why you put up with the frustration of following your hometown team season after disappointing season, and we're proud of Biggio. To top things off, we even won the game. Astros, you're spoiling us. Houstonist will have a full story on hit number 3000 for Houston's number 7, but we wanted to get the party started early.

>> Suspect charged in office fire: The woman who started a fire that killed three people in an office building back in March has been charged with three counts of felony murder and one charge of arson. Misty Ann Weaver started the fire to delay an audit because she hadn't completed paperwork on time for her boss, a cosmetic surgeon. If convicted of these recent charges, Weaver could face life in prison (several times over). She will probably also be eligible for probation, since she has no criminal history. Currently, Weaver is free on $180,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court next week. We proably would have taken getting fired over life in prison, but to each her own.

>>Houston companies make it big: Two Houston companies were included on a list of the nation's top-grossing African-American businesses. Nineteen Texas companies made the list, which was published in the June 2007 issue of Black Enterprise. The rankings included 275 companies in four different categories, but Houstonians topped the list. In the No. 2 slot for one category was CAMAC International Corp., a crude oil, gas exploration, production, and trading company. They brought in $1.6 billion last year. In the No. 8 slot in a different category was Smith Graham & Co. Investment Advisors LP, an asset management company that has nearly $2.3 billion in assets under management.

>> This weekend's weather: What's the difference between a "chance of thunderstorms" and "thunderstorms likely"? Not a lot, and that's all we'll have this weekend. There's a 60% chance of rain Saturday and Sunday, but only a 40% chance of rain. Basically, all we're saying is that the weather's not changing anytime soon.

It's all sunshine and smiles with these headlines though...
