Locally dropped iPhone becomes YouTube star

So we survived the iPhone frenzy over the weekend. As we mentioned before, some people who waited in long lines to purchase their new fruit from the Apple tree we’re even more frustrated when they had trouble activating the phones.

But, just think how frustrated you’d be if you just walked out of the store with your new iPhone, only to accidentally drop it on the sidewalk? Well, that’s what happened to a guy named Shawn in Houston. And, to make matters worse, his act was caught on video, posted online, and became the #1 most watched comedy clips on YouTube over the weekend.

Luckily, the iPhone wasn’t damaged (maybe they’ll use this clip in a future commercial), but Shawn did return to the store to buy a protective cover. Local blogger Max Torres conducted the interview with Shawn and is reaping his 15 minutes of fame with this odd people’s choice for favorite video.
