We really wish Gomez was performing a headlining show here, but we have to settle with them just being an opening act for The Fray (along with Eisley) this Friday night in The Woodlands. However, Gomez is playing a stand-alone show Saturday night in Austin, if you're lucky enough to find tickets for it.

Some veteran Houston acts play around town this week. Beaumont's Clay Walker will perform after the races at Sam Houston Race Park Friday night. Beyonce headlines the Toyota Center on Saturday night. Finally, ZZ Top headlines an interesting mini-festival the same night in The Woodlands – joined by old redneck country singer David Allen Coe, Hank William's punk/country grandson, and Texas alt.country favorites Old 97's.

Speaking of Houston, this might be your last time to catch Lee Alexander live at Rudyard's before he goes on hiatus.

The biggest line-up award this week goes to the annual Vans Warped Tour on Sunday at Reliant Center.
