We've covered a few distinctive thieves in the last few months: the cell phone bandit, the bicycle bandit, the dapper bandit, the bad hair bandit — and now there's a new one: the bossy bandit, who was reportedly quite rude when he knocked over a west Houston bank last week. According to FBI officials, the man walked into the Wells Fargo branch on the Katy Freeway near Highway 6 at around 5 p.m. last Tuesday; a teller tried to avoid him, but he shouted at her to go back to her station and give him some money. He then put a white plastic bag on the counter and ordered the teller not to put any tracking devices in with the money. When she had emptied her cash drawer, he told her to show him the drawer to prove that she had given him all the money; as he walked out of the bank, the man yelled at the teller not to push an alarm button or contact the police. Honestly, given the fact that the teller was giving the man cash, you'd think he would have been a little nicer, right? Some people just can't be polite.
Surveillance cameras at the bank captured pretty clear pictures of the bandit, though he was wearing sunglasses to mask his identity. He is described as a tanned white man in his late 30s to early 40s, about 6 feet, 3 inches tall and 175 pounds with visible wrinkles around his mouth. He was wearing a long sleeved khaki button-down shirt, jeans, brown steel-toed boots and a baseball hat at the time of the robbery. Anyone with information on the guy should call Crime Stoppers at 713.222.TIPS.
