Love butterflies? Houstonist does too!!! (and frogs!) Saturday is all about the butterfly as the Cockrell Butterfly Center holds a butterfly adoption from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.. For the low, low price of $15/per person (which includes admission to the Butterfly Center) participants have the opportunity to release a butterfly into the Center. Every butterfly parent receives a certificate of adoption, a gift and a mention online! As if that weren't enough, there's more!! Every new adoptee over the age of 21 (or, for those under 21, their guardian - keeping it fairsies) is eligible to register to win two roundtrip coach tickets from any Cayman Airways gateway to Grand Cayman and a four-night stay for two at the Sunshine Suites Resort in Grand Cayman. The fabulous trip is provided courtesy of Cayman Islands Department of Tourism.
Only 500 butterflies are available for adoption, so go early! This is a great way to celebrate one of life's milestones, remember a loved one, honor a cancer survivor, pay homage to someone in the military or just enjoy a wonderful outing and support Cockrell Butterfly Center - whichever you chose.
