Friday Afternoon Videos: Girlshapedlovedrug

One of our favorite English bands are in town tonight: Gomez. Unfortunately, they'll only play a short set, since they are one of two opening acts for The Fray at Cynthia Mitchell Woods Pavilion in The Woodlands. We're trying to decide if we're going to brave the traffic and heat or hold-out for another headlining tour.

We had a tough time deciding which video to air. We could have posted the video for the banjo driven title track from How We Operate, the upbeat, poppy "See The World," or the haunting "Notice" (which doesn't have an official video, but we like this fan's clip). We finally decided on "Girlshapedlovedrug" because it's catchy and funny. Houstonist was in a relationship like this once – luckily, we read enough self-help books to get out of it.

LOVE this song. good pick, eric! too bad the show it outside my ACGR (acceptable concert-going radius)

they rocked ACL last year, and they are alway a fun, happy-go-lucky act to see! damn, just thinking about it is making me want to go.
