Call for Entries: Keep Houston Beautiful Awards

2007019_23rd-annual-Entries.jpgTechnically the name is the 23rd Annual Mayor's Proud Partner Awards presented by Keep Houston Beautiful. KHB is non-profit entity who vision is make Houston "one of the cleanest, most beautiful metropolitan cities in America." The MPPA is one of three recognition programs designed to motivate Houstonians to raise up off the sofa, head outside and make a difference in the community.

Know anyone that should be recognized? Not sure what qualifies? Pretty much any project completed during the past year (12 months, not just 2006) is eligible for consideration. Neighborhood clean up efforts, voluntary park improvements and murals are a few of the projects that qualify.

Still at a loss for someone to nominate? Get your beautify on before August 10th and nominate yourself.
