Last week, we told you all about the amazing Asian Art collection that is currently being showcased all over the city in various museums, the largest at the Museum of Fine Arts.

In conjunction with the MFA's RED HOT — Asian Art Today from the Chaney Family Collection they will screen a.k.a. Nikki S. Lee and prsent a conversation with the Filmmaker, tonight in Brown Auditorium.

Korean photographer Nikki S. Lee (born 1970) has received international acclaim for her poignant self-portraits, in which she portrays herself in a wide range of guises, such as a Jewish bride, a rapper, a senior citizen, and an exotic dancer.

Lee explores issues of identity by transforming herself through the clothes, mannerisms, and other social cues associated with the culture she is investigating. In her first feature-length film, the artist continues her play with identities and social conformity in a pseudo-documentary style that aims to reveal the "real" Nikki S. Lee.
