Infernal Bridegroom Productions ceased operations on July 24, 2007

In the arts, the word “alternative” has been thoroughly recast as a marketing tool in an effort to resolve two incongruent sensibilities: the desire to be different and the fear of standing alone.

Infernal Bridegroom Productions is…alas…was old school “alternative”. IBP confidently stood alone in bringing to stage productions that one would be hard pressed to find at any other theatre in the US. However, the major achievement of IBP was not simply that they produced challenging and seldom performed works but that they performed them so well. One left an IBP performance with an appreciation for why the voice and vision of the playwright was important...not merely "alternative". --slipshod snapshots

Rest in peace, IBP. You will be sadly missed.
