A couple of concerts original scheduled this week were either canceled or postponed. The "Smooth Groove Tour," featuring Cameo, Morris Day and others has been postponed. If you have tickets, check the Reliant Arena website soon for the new date. If you had tickets to see American Idol Taylor Hicks, you can get a refund, but you won't get a chance to see the premature gray-haired Idol. His show was canceled due to bad ticket sales "scheduling conflicts" (even though his next show isn't until four days later).
What concerts are a go-ahead this week? The Crystal Method, for one. The electronica/alternative rock band plays at The Meridian Friday night. Local rockabilly outfit The Octanes takes the stage at Continental Club Saturday night, but if you prefer your music with some comedy, you can check out Austin's Asylum Street Spankers at the Mucky Duck. The big rock show of the week is Projekt Revolution, featuring Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, and more. That show should rokk rock.

H-Town Rock

I've seen Asylum Street Spankers at The Duck before and they rocked. Very fun show.
